Care to join a local lottery?
Joining a lottery linked to your local authority means you can support a cause which is important to you locally to where you live, but also support the wider community too.
Crossroads Care Surrey has been giving respite to Carers locally for more than 36 years – we do this by taking over a caring role so Carers can have time for themselves away from their ’round-the-clock’ care role.
This year, we find ourselves continuing to support more than 950 families with regular care which means we are helping more than 1700 unpaid Carers to have a break. There is so much more work to do…. In Surrey alone, there are more than 115,000 registered unpaid carers. We want to help more Carers to receive the break they so desperately need by delivering care in the home and in the community.
With 3 in every 5 people taking on a care role in a lifetime, one day you too may need our support like Jessica and her mother featured above who have a break when Jessica’s younger twin brothers attend the Crossroads Children’s Club, Funtastic.
We’ve teamed up with three local lottery organisations across Surrey and can now offer supporters choice, depending upon which community they want to support. The lottery gives you a chance to win up to £25k and with tickets only costing £1 per week, it is a small price to pay to support Carers and your community alongside the opportunity to win. The more people who sign up, the bigger the cash prizes – only last month, one of our supporters won £250.
If you are considering joining a lottery, why not choose to be altruistic and support Carers and their loved ones – sign up by clicking one of our three community lottery pages below and there could be a small reward of winnings at some point too.
In the East, we work with Tandridge Together Lottery.
Mid-Surrey it’s Surrey Heath.

Thank you on behalf of Carers and their families in Surrey.
We work to place all unpaid carers at the heart of all we do. Today marks Young Carers Awareness Day and we pledge to join forces with others to raise awareness of the exceptional challenges Young Carers face everyday.
A very big thank you to the West Byfleet community who have actively supported carers to have vital respite time away from caring as part of Waitrose West Byfleet Community Matters project. Over the very busy Christmas period, shoppers took time out to collectively give support to unpaid carers by giving their green tokens to support our work in their community raising an incredible £410.00.
