National Federation of the Blind of the UK is a national membership organisation of blind and partially sighted people working and campaigning on behalf of others in the UK with similar difficulties.
We in NFBUK want blind, deaf-blind and partially sighted people to be treated equally and receive the same dignity and respect as other members of society. We want to be able to move safely around our local areas, take part in education and training, get a job, have a social life – do exactly what the average UK citizen expects to do.
We work with many other charities and organisations, and also with local and national government departments and committees who make decisions that affect blind and partially sighted people.  We keep them updated about the problems and issues that we, as blind and partially sighted people, face and work with them to find solutions.
