A volunteer-run, Good Neighbours group, proving help and support for residents of East Grinstead, Lingfield, Dormansland, Ashurst Wood, Felbridge, Crowhurst, Blindley Heath, Newchapel or South Godstone.

Volunteers take clients with no other means of transportation to necessary appointments, such as hospital or doctor’s visits, dentists, chiropodists, pharmacists or to see other medical practitioners.

Volunteer drivers can also take clients to visit friends or relatives in local hospitals or nursing homes.

Volunteers can also help with shopping once a fortnight. Either by accompanying clients to the shops, or by completing a shopping list on behalf of a client.

CARE also offers a Help in the Home service, which can assemble flat-pack goods, fix shelves to inside room walls, fix curtain rails, loosen stuck drawers and provide general DIY work. Volunteers can also offer help with one-off gardening jobs, such as mowing the grass, pruning bushes and general clearing-up of gardens.
