Kingston Carers’ Network (KCN) is a local registered charity, providing independent information, advice, advocacy and support to people who care for someone living in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
Are you caring for someone who couldn’t manage without your support?
Carers deserve to be identified, valued and celebrated for what they do and it is our purpose to support them.
Our services include:
- Â Breaks and wellbeing activities
- Â Advice and Advocacy for unpaid carers (see more below)
- Â Peer support groups for carers including carers of people with dementia
- Â Carers’ Assessments on behalf of Kingston’s Adult Social Care
- Â Counselling and emotional support
- Â Discounted complementary therapies
- Â Young Carers Project for carers aged 5-18 including: respite activities; weekly youth groups; mentoring; advice and advocacy; and targeted support.
We can offer advice and advocacy on:
- Welfare benefits and other entitlements
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Â Health and social care services
- Â Being involved in the planning of patient care and preparation for discharge
-  Carers’ rights
- Â Accessing breaks
- Â Housing and adaptations
- Â Employment and flexible working
Any unpaid carer supporting someone in the borough of Kingston can access our services.
