We aim to promote equality of opportunity for all. We value diversity and recognise different people bring different perspective.

Head of HR & People

Hours: 27 hours per week; flexible.

Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 (pro rata for 27 hours)

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey, flexible, with some homeworking.

The Organisation

For more than thirty-five years, Crossroads Care Surrey has been the leading provider of respite breaks to unpaid Carers in Surrey. We currently support 2,000 Carers by providing professional Carer Support workers to take over their caring responsibility.  With a £3m turnover and a workforce of 200, we deliver high-quality, bespoke care for people in their own home, providing continuity of care and emotional support. Based in Leatherhead, we are the leading charity across Surrey supporting Carers.

The Role

This year we appointed a new Chief Executive. His key focus is to develop the future strategic direction of CCS. He is creating a talented top team and the Head of HR & People will play a very key role around the top table. The key strategic task is to build on the excellent work of our very loyal people and take the Trust into the next phase of its development.

This is an exciting role, directly reporting to CEO, with responsibility across the entire HR and People brief. Activity ranges from ‘rolling your sleeves up’ and making sure the basics of HR run well to shaping and delivering an engaging people vision, bringing the organisations employees and volunteers with you.

We are therefore looking for a collaborative, engaging and inspiring leader with good HR delivery experience obtained from the not-for-profit, public or private sectors. The key strategic task is to build on the excellent work of our existing and very loyal staff and volunteers and take the HR and People vision into the next phase of its development.
