Below you will find more information about both sub-funds.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c903d1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6c903d1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Guildford Young Carers<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3204859 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3204859\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>A young carer is normally someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a relative who has a condition, such as a disability, illness, mental health condition or a drug or alcohol problem.\u00a0 Most young carers look after one of their parents or care for a brother or sister.\u00a0 They do extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning or helping someone to get dressed and move around.<\/p>\n<p>Spending a lot of time caring for someone can impact on how well a young carer does at school or limit their opportunities to do the same things as other children or young people.\u00a0 Guildford Young Carers aims to support young people who find life replaced by caring for a relation within the family unit that causes a negative outcome and lost time and who are unable to access help.<\/p>\n<p>We will award grants to support young carers in the Borough of Guildford.\u00a0\u00a0 Grants will support young carers by providing services or equipment that will help them with their educational, emotional and social needs, but will not cover duties that are statutory responsibility of local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of eligible costs that may qualify for grant support include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>additional non-statutory support in school or college<\/li>\n<li>extra tuition or educational support outside school or college<\/li>\n<li>IT or other equipment to support educational needs<\/li>\n<li>school trips, outings or residential activities<\/li>\n<li>courses<\/li>\n<li>music, sports or play activities or other clubs outside school (including membership fees)<\/li>\n<li>opportunities to meet other young carers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfsurrey.org.uk\/fund\/guildfordyoungcarers\/\">Guildford Young Carers Fund &#8211; Community Foundation for Surrey<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b9c784e elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b9c784e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Carers Support Guildford<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f75b60c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f75b60c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>Will award grants to support carers who are in need and who live in the borough of Guildford.\u00a0 Grants will support carers with the costs of respite from their caring role, or provide a service or equipment that supports them in that role but will not cover the duties that are the statutory responsibility of the local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The Sub-Fund will support carers with the following which will not be exclusive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>contribution towards respite holidays or breaks<\/li>\n<li>club membership<\/li>\n<li>courses<\/li>\n<li>second-hand computers or other IT equipment<\/li>\n<li>holiday play schemes<\/li>\n<li>travel costs for specific activities<\/li>\n<li>cover for the carer when engaged in a respite activity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfsurrey.org.uk\/fund\/carers-support-guildford-fund\/\">Carers Support (Guildford) Fund &#8211; Community Foundation for Surrey<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":22422,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_citadela_ignore_special_page":false,"_citadela_page_template":""},"citadela-item-category":[415,471,482,627,477],"citadela-item-location":[427],"class_list":["post-12060","citadela-item","type-citadela-item","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","citadela-item-category-advice-information-support","citadela-item-category-carer-support-services","citadela-item-category-children-family-parenting-support","citadela-item-category-grants-for-carers","citadela-item-category-young-carers-support","citadela-item-location-guildford"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 -
