Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics<\/p>\n
Volunteers, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.
\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings, lunches or drop-in groups.<\/p>\n
The Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance, including:
\n\u2022 Check your hearing aid is working
\n\u2022 Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries
\n\u2022 Re-tubing hearing aids
\n\u2022 Ear mould cleaning
\n\u2022 Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids
\n\u2022 Support for new hearing aid users
\n\u2022 Explaining your hearing aid controls
\n\u2022 Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment<\/p>\n
Our volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids.<\/p>\n
Please remember to bring your battery card\/ blue book\/ or equivalent.<\/p>\n
Before visiting for the first time, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.
