SUMMARY:Elmbridge Dementia Services - Social clubs
DESCRIPTION:A day at one of our groups can be hugely beneficial to people living with dementia\, as well as their carers\, who can take a break knowing their loved one is looked after. \n\n\nOur groups are run by specialists and volunteers who focus on the strengths and abilities of the person with dementia\, to provide activities that will be engaging and suitable for everyone. \nEach group has its own personality\, following our ethos of living well with dementia. Members enjoy a range of activities and socialise in a safe and welcoming environment with trained staff on a 1-4 client ratio. \nA lunch is provided along with drinks and snacks. \nWe understand that people may be reluctant to attend day groups\, so we offer the opportunity to visit and view any of our groups before you decide to join. \nAttendance of the groups is subject to assessment\, at your own home\, to ensure we know as much as possible about our new member; understanding their preferences\, life history and expectations so that their time with us is meaningful. \n  \nClaygate Centre for the Community : Tuesdays\, Wednesdays and Fridays\, 10am to 3pm
