DESCRIPTION:Leatherhead Link Day Service is now open Monday to Friday\, 51 weeks of the year. We are closed for Christmas week and bank holidays. Our days begin at 9:15am and finish at 3:30pm. \n​ \nOur newly opened day on Wednesdays is aimed at adults who require more support. Service users requiring 1:1 support can bring their PAs along and attend whole or part day sessions. Activities include: music and movement\, cooking sessions\, arts and crafts and sensory integration with visiting professionals such as yoga\, musicians and theatre groups. We currently have vacancies for Wednesdays. \n​ \nThe Leatherhead Link aims to provide a rich variety of activities which include life skills\, gardening\, keep fit\, boccia\, arts and crafts\, excursions and hosting social events. We provide a home prepared mid-day meal. \n​ \nLeatherhead Link is managed by Catherine Shrimpton and her team of 6 highly experienced members of staff. \n​ \nLeatherhead Link offers a personalised approach to day service care where members can learn life skills\, join in activities and socialise in a warm and friendly atmosphere

These sessions are perfect for people who feel unsteady on their feet or are worried about falling. Exercises are adapted to the needs and abilities of older adults. \nMonday 9.45am – 10.45am and 11.00am – 12 noon. \nFriday 10.40am – 11.40am and 11.45am – 12.45pm. \n£6.50 per session for these amazing exercise classes

Lunch is served between 12:30 – 13:30 in our dining room. We also offer: \n\na range of snacks and drinks in our cafe 10:00 – 15:15\na monthly special event\, for example\, Valentines Day\, Easter or Summer Solstice. Booking is necessary for this three course meal and coffee and entertainment.\n\nMembership runs to 31 March each year.\n  \nFor your first visit to the centre you do not need to be a member – phone ahead to come along and see what you think!

The benefits also outweigh the risks for people living with long-term conditions. \nThere’s lots of evidence to show that if we keep moving\, we can reduce our risk of everything from cancer to heart disease\, live independently for longer and boost our mental health to help cope with life’s challenges. \nWhat is Better Balance?\nBetter Balance sessions are designed to improve mobility and confidence and develop core strength and balance. \nBetter Balance sessions are delivered by instructors who are qualified to help participants develop their balance. These sessions are perfect for people who feel unsteady on their feet or are worried about falling. Exercises are adapted to the needs and abilities of older adults. \nMonday 9.45am – 10.45am and 11.00am – 12 noon. \nFriday 10.40am – 11.40am and 11.45am – 12.45pm. \n£6.50 per session for these amazing exercise classes

DESCRIPTION:We are proud to provide quality services for people experiencing a range of memory concerns. \nMemory Lane – our MCST Sessions for people experiencing a range of memory concerns.\nNew at the Clockhouse Community Centre and open to people with any type of dementia diagnosis OR with mild cognitive impairment\, Pause for Thought are sessions to help maintain memory and mental functioning. \nTrained staff\, supported by volunteers deliver the Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) sessions\, the only non-drug treatment recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). These MCST sessions run stimulating activities proven to maintain memory and foster new friendships. DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.\nYou can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014\nhearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk \n*Please note if it is a bank holiday\, then the clinic will be a week earlier.
