DESCRIPTION:Monthly interactive sessions focusing on producing loud\, clear speech. Enjoyable exercises help with the volume and clarity of speech and saliva management. These classes are delivered by a trained speech therapist.  Currently there are two of these classes\, each with up to 10 members each month. They are held the first Monday and Wednesday of the month\, at 3.30 pm for one hour\, delivered over Zoom. \nThere is a discounted rate of £5.00 per month for Parkinson’s UK members. DESCRIPTION:This is an opportunity for anybody who is in need of support or advice around domestic abuse\, to speak to a professional advisor from the East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service. This could include family and friends who are concerned about a loved one\, as well as professionals who would like advice about how to support somebody who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse. \nThere are 3 appointment slots available on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. 1pm\, 2pm & 3pm run at Richmond Fellowship at Wingfield Resource Centre in Redhill. Each slot is 45 minutes\, and you will be asked to complete a short booking form beforehand. DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.\nYou can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014\nhearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk
