DESCRIPTION:Leatherhead Link Day Service is now open Monday to Friday\, 51 weeks of the year. We are closed for Christmas week and bank holidays. Our days begin at 9:15am and finish at 3:30pm. \n​ \nOur newly opened day on Wednesdays is aimed at adults who require more support. Service users requiring 1:1 support can bring their PAs along and attend whole or part day sessions. Activities include: music and movement\, cooking sessions\, arts and crafts and sensory integration with visiting professionals such as yoga\, musicians and theatre groups. We currently have vacancies for Wednesdays. \n​ \nThe Leatherhead Link aims to provide a rich variety of activities which include life skills\, gardening\, keep fit\, boccia\, arts and crafts\, excursions and hosting social events. We provide a home prepared mid-day meal. \n​ \nLeatherhead Link is managed by Catherine Shrimpton and her team of 6 highly experienced members of staff. \n​ \nLeatherhead Link offers a personalised approach to day service care where members can learn life skills\, join in activities and socialise in a warm and friendly atmosphere

DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.\nYou can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014 hearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk \nPlease note that there will be no clinic in December.
