DESCRIPTION:Fetcham now has its own community fridge which is available for everyone to use. \nIt’s located at St Mary’s Church Hall\, just off the Ridgeway\, and is open every Monday morning from 10-11 am. \nThe fridge is not a food bank\, as no referral is needed. Instead the fridge team collects food from local shops and supermarkets that would otherwise be wasted and sent to landfill. \nOrganised by the Bookham-based charity The Meeting Place\, the fridge is also open at two other locations at other times during the week. \nIt’s at Bookham Baptist Church on Tuesday mornings from 1115 to 1215; on Friday from 1130 to 1230\, and on Saturday from 1030 to 1200. \nAnd on Tuesday mornings from 1030 to 1130 it is also open at the Grange Centre Bookham.

SUMMARY:Arthouse Unlimited - Art Studio Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We provide trained care\, personal support and qualified art instruction in a safe and stimulating environment. We run two art sessions a day which run for three-hours each. The morning session is 9.15am – 12.15pm and the afternoon session is 1.15pm – 4.15pm. \nEach session has 7 artists who work alongside the art instructors to create artworks and designs for the products that they sell that help sustain the charity. \nIt is important to note that during studio sessions each artist has their own space to work according to their style\, interests and skills. They are also encouraged to work as a team\, to share elements of work and create artwork collaboratively. Through this way of working\, they have recognised that individuals experience purpose\, value and confidence in their own skills and talents. The artists that attend the sessions need to be aged 19 and upwards but do not need to have had any previous artistic experience; they believe that everyone has the ability to enjoy the process of creating. \n       \nIn the process of joining their team of artists\, they offer a trial session where they will give the opportunity to get to know their way of working and see if it suits the needs of the individual.   \n\n\nWe are opening on Saturdays from May. DESCRIPTION:Our Community Cinema will restart on  Sunday September 24th 2023 at 7.30 pm \nAt St Mark’s we offer popular films you missed the first time around. The films are shown in high definition and on our big screen\, usually with sub-titles. We hope to create a friendly atmosphere where everyone should feel at home. About half-way through the film we break for free tea or coffee.  Ice creams and popcorn available for a small charge \nNo booking is necessary and we charge no admission fees but invite donations to cover our licence fees and purchase of equipment and films. The terms of our licence mean we are unable to publicly advertise the films we are showing. Details of the film title can be gained by joining our email mailing list. DESCRIPTION:We have classes to help you feel stronger and more steady\, improve your balance and increase your confidence for everyday activities\, as well as Tai chi\, singing\, art\, knitting and much more! \nWe offer a ‘home cooked’ two course lunch everyday to our members for just £5. Lunch is served between 12:30 – 13:30 in our dining room. We also offer: \n\na range of snacks and drinks in our cafe 10:00 – 15:15\na monthly special event\, for example\, Valentines Day\, Easter or Summer Solstice. Booking is necessary for this three course meal and coffee and entertainment.\n\nMembership runs to 31 March each year.\n  \nFor your first visit to the centre you do not need to be a member – phone ahead to come along and see what you think!

These sessions are perfect for people who feel unsteady on their feet or are worried about falling. Exercises are adapted to the needs and abilities of older adults. \nMonday 9.45am – 10.45am and 11.00am – 12 noon. \nFriday 10.40am – 11.40am and 11.45am – 12.45pm. \n£6.50 per session for these amazing exercise classes

DESCRIPTION:We are proud to provide quality services for people experiencing a range of memory concerns. \nMemory Lane – our MCST Sessions for people experiencing a range of memory concerns.\nNew at the Clockhouse Community Centre and open to people with any type of dementia diagnosis OR with mild cognitive impairment\, Pause for Thought are sessions to help maintain memory and mental functioning. \nTrained staff\, supported by volunteers deliver the Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) sessions\, the only non-drug treatment recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). These MCST sessions run stimulating activities proven to maintain memory and foster new friendships.
