DESCRIPTION:Leatherhead Link Day Service is now open Monday to Friday\, 51 weeks of the year. We are closed for Christmas week and bank holidays. Our days begin at 9:15am and finish at 3:30pm. \n​ \nOur newly opened day on Wednesdays is aimed at adults who require more support. Service users requiring 1:1 support can bring their PAs along and attend whole or part day sessions. Activities include: music and movement\, cooking sessions\, arts and crafts and sensory integration with visiting professionals such as yoga\, musicians and theatre groups. We currently have vacancies for Wednesdays. \n​ \nThe Leatherhead Link aims to provide a rich variety of activities which include life skills\, gardening\, keep fit\, boccia\, arts and crafts\, excursions and hosting social events. We provide a home prepared mid-day meal. \n​ \nLeatherhead Link is managed by Catherine Shrimpton and her team of 6 highly experienced members of staff. \n​ \nLeatherhead Link offers a personalised approach to day service care where members can learn life skills\, join in activities and socialise in a warm and friendly atmosphere

DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation. \nEmail  : hearhere@bweparish.org.uk or  you can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014 hearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk \nThis clinic can service Danalogic. \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:A day at one of our groups can be hugely beneficial to people living with dementia\, as well as their carers\, who can take a break knowing their loved one is looked after. \n\n\nOur groups are run by specialists and volunteers who focus on the strengths and abilities of the person with dementia\, to provide activities that will be engaging and suitable for everyone. \nEach group has its own personality\, following our ethos of living well with dementia. DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.\nYou can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014\nhearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk

DESCRIPTION:Sunflower Café \nSunflower café provides friendly and interactive sessions for those living with dementia\, their carers and those feeling lonely. \nIt runs every Wednesday from 10.30am-12pm with a varied programme of activities and time to chat and get to know others in the group. The sessions include creative work\, reminiscence\, games\, movement\, music and singing sessions as well as informative talks/ Q&A sessions for carers within the programme. Right at Home provide a member of their staff team to support the sessions who can also give advice on caring for those with dementia. \nComplimentary hot drinks and biscuits always available. \nThis group is free of charge\, however donations are welcome.
