DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.\nYou can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014\nhearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk

DESCRIPTION:Fetcham now has its own community fridge which is available for everyone to use. \nIt’s located at St Mary’s Church Hall\, just off the Ridgeway\, and is open every Monday morning from 10-11 am. \nThe fridge is not a food bank\, as no referral is needed. Instead the fridge team collects food from local shops and supermarkets that would otherwise be wasted and sent to landfill. \nOrganised by the Bookham-based charity The Meeting Place\, the fridge is also open at two other locations at other times during the week. \nIt’s at Bookham Baptist Church on Tuesday mornings from 1115 to 1215; on Friday from 1130 to 1230\, and on Saturday from 1030 to 1200. \nAnd on Tuesday mornings from 1030 to 1130 it is also open at the Grange Centre Bookham.

DESCRIPTION:This is an opportunity for anybody who is in need of support or advice around domestic abuse\, to speak to a professional advisor from the East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service. This could include family and friends who are concerned about a loved one\, as well as professionals who would like advice about how to support somebody who is experiencing or has experienced domestic abuse. \nThere are 3 appointment slots available on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. 1pm\, 2pm & 3pm run at Richmond Fellowship at Wingfield Resource Centre in Redhill. Each slot is 45 minutes\, and you will be asked to complete a short booking form beforehand. DESCRIPTION:Are you caring for someone with dementia? \nDo you feel isolated? Would you like someone to talk to\, who knows how you’re feeling? \nPop down to see us on a Tuesday afternoon\, 1.30 – 3.30pm either on your own or with the person you are caring for. \nThere are visits from professionals including Dementia Navigators from the Alzheimer’s Society and local solicitors that can advise on any legal issues. \nOn the third Tuesday of the month there is gentle exercises facilitated by John O’Shea\, personal trainer. \nThe last Tuesday of the month\, a light lunch will be on offer. \nFor more information\, please contact Denise \n01428 654710 deputy@thehuntercentre.co.uk

DESCRIPTION:We aim to help people who live with disability or long-term illness by providing Conquest Art groups around the country and encouraging many more people to come and join us.  Our group members find fulfilment through joining in\, whatever their level of ability and disability\, and experience a sense of achievement and satisfaction from exhibiting their artwork. \nEveryone is encouraged to create from their imagination\, develop their own style and work at their own pace in a friendly\, non-competitive atmosphere\,   This is important\, as a person’s disability can sometimes affect their level of creativity but many who initially doubt their abilities are surprised at the results they achieve. \nUsing our simple methods\, newcomers can soon get that first line or image on the page.  From there they can develop their skills and try new ideas with help from the team volunteers.  For members with particular needs we can provide specialist equipment such as head pointers\, scented pens for the visually impaired or specially adjusted easels. \nGroup Leader: Christine Loizou\nEpsom Methodist Church\nAshley Road\nEpsom\nSurrey\nKT18 5AQ \nPhone: 01372 723966 \nEvery Tuesday\nFrom 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

DESCRIPTION:Guildford Diocese Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics \nVolunteers\, trained by the Audiology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital\, provide community-based hearing aid maintenance through Hear Here clinics.\nA visit to your local Hear Here clinic saves travel and connects you with the community. The clinics are offered in cafes\, GP surgeries and libraries as well as churches. Often sessions will be run alongside social events; coffee mornings\, lunches or drop-in groups. \nThe Hear Here volunteers provide FREE maintenance\, including:\n• Check your hearing aid is working\n• Replacing and supplying new free NHS batteries\n• Re-tubing hearing aids\n• Ear mould cleaning\n• Advice and troubleshooting on using your hearing aids\n• Support for new hearing aid users\n• Explaining your hearing aid controls\n• Information and signposting to other services and useful equipment \nOur volunteers are not able to carry out hearing checks\, and cannot maintain in-ear or private hearing aids. \nPlease remember to bring your battery card/ blue book/ or equivalent. \nBefore visiting for the first time\, we advise making contact in case of short notice cancellation.\nYou can call\, text or email the project for more help: 07827 567014\nhearhere@cofeguildford.org.uk
