Crossroads will provide frontline care services in your home and is commited to re-opening services to support carers in their community from October 2021.

Our staff are highly trained in infection control and are provided with personal protection equipment (PPE) to keep carers and those we help protected and safe at all times.

Please contact our care team if you have any worries or concerns about care visits to your home, especially if you have received a letter from the NHS advising you to shield.

We can also chat to you about how we might support you through befriending calls or outreach support should you prefer not to have carers in your home right now.

Crossroads can provide a different kind of care support for those who need extra help or special assistance across the Surrey area throughout the period of Coronavirus.

We will support Carers and their cared for loved ones, people who are vulnerable or those older and living alone.

If you are a carer who looks after someone who cannot be left alone; or, if you’re on your own and might be feeling anxious or worried about Coronavirus, please don’t suffer in silence.

We can help you and your family in a number ways:

  • We can help with regular befriending by telephone. We’ll aim to check in on you regularly during the period of strict self isolation to look after your emotional health and wellbeing.
  • We can help with practical support – Collection and delivery of prescriptions & essential shopping delivered to your door.
  • We can help sign post you to other nearby support services too

Care Coordinators are available to take your call between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Calls left after 5pm will be returned to you the following day.

On top of this, we’ll aim to ensure continuity of care by providing the same Carer Support Worker each week. This is especially important for looking after dementia patients.

Flexible, affordable breaks

  • Many Carers struggle on without help until they themselves reach breaking point. It is vitally important that your own health and well-being is maintained so you can continue to care.
  • Our minimum care package is two hours, because we feel strongly that quality care can’t be provided in less time. In addition, two hours will also give the main Carer a meaningful amount of respite time away.  Longer packages  of care are available and all care will be provided at a time that suits you.
  • Many of you care for loved ones round the clock. We can step into your shoes so you can enjoy some time to yourself.
  • Our regular weekly respite sessions help provide exactly that – speak to one of our friendly team to discuss your needs for care and respite.
