We are committed to helping the most vulnerable people across our community during this very difficult and unprecedented time of Coronavirus. With the very recent Government restrictions put in place to tackle the spread of the virus, people are feeling very frightened and alone, particularly those who are older, unwell or need special assistance.
The very people who Crossroads Care Surrey is specifically set up to support, unpaid carers are in fact the ones in society who will bear the weight of demand during the next few weeks. Caring round-the-clock for their loved ones during the period of strict self isolation, but unable to do simple tasks, like picking up prescriptions, essential supplies or do the food shopping.
As a charity, we’ve moved quickly to adapt services to support the caring community. In addition to being there for those we are already working with, we hope to be able to help those waiting for a service and the wider community with regular contact by phone and practical support in the community, delivered by key workers.
If we can’t help, we will work with other services locally to help find the right help for you and your loved ones locally.
Please help us to help others living nearby who may need special assistance. Please give what you can to help fund our important work to ensure we can continue to be there for those who need us most over the coming weeks.
Will help support people with practical support, picking up prescriptions from a local pharmacy
Will support people by being able to shop for essential food and supplies during ‘key worker’ time within local supermarkets.
Will help us with new technology to ensure we can regularly keep in touch, and give emotional support to more than 900 families across Surrey.
