Adult Care Club

We run an Adult Care Club at St Mary’s Community Centre in Byfleet, which is run by highly skilled professional care teams and trained volunteers.

They create a safe, welcoming environment where your loved one can meet other people in a relaxed, social setting and enjoy meaningful activities which are specifically tailored to individual needs.

About our clubs

Booking a club place can support you and your loved one to feel less isolated and, in turn, improve your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

Our club is full of fun and include interesting things to do. Some of our regular activities include:

  • table tennis, pool, boccia, darts and table-top games such as chess or bingo
  • music and singing
  • gardening and DIY projects
  • painting, arts, and crafts e.g. card making
  • flower arranging
  • any other achievable activities your loved one enjoys!

Who can attend?

Our club at Byfleet is dementia-friendly and aims to give carers an enjoyable break for a morning, afternoon, or all day. If you are unsure that our club is the right environment to support you and your loved one, we can offer a trial session with prior arrangement.

We have a club on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for people with dementia or low to medium support needs

Where is it?

St Mary’s Centre for the Community, Stream Close, Byfleet, Surrey KT14 7LZ.

Session times:

9.30am to 12.30pm

1.30pm to 4.30pm

There are two sessions per day – your loved one can attend both sessions and stay for lunch (we can offer assisted eating and drinking).

We are open every Tuesday and Wednesday except Christmas and any extended bank holidays

Parking: You can drop your loved one off at the centre by the front entrance. There is limited parking at the centre, but there is a free-of-charge car park across the road from the centre, next to the recreation ground.
